A careful wash, blow dry, and light silk press using gentle heat and protective products. The focus is on achieving a smooth, tidy finish while keeping the hair healthy and comfortable. This service is best suited to older children who can manage light heat styling. Finishing touches, such as two braids or bubble ponytails, can be added for a neat look. Service Notes & Hair Preparation Please review before booking to ensure the best results and a smooth appointment: • Suitable for children aged 10–14. • This service includes a professional cleanse, blow dry, and silk press finish. • Hair must be in a condition suitable for heat styling to achieve optimal results. • Additional time or charges may apply for very thick, long, or heavily tangled hair. • Results may vary depending on hair texture, density, and natural curl pattern. • A consultation is recommended for first-time clients or those with known scalp or hair concerns. Salon Preparation / Hair Prep To ensure a comfortable and efficient appointment, please note the following: • Hair should be detangled and free from heavy oils or product build-up unless otherwise advised. • If your child has a sensitive scalp, allergies, or any relevant hair or skin conditions, please inform us prior to the appointment. • Please avoid tight hairstyles or scalp irritation before the service to allow for a comfortable cleanse and press. • Arriving on time helps your child settle and allows the service to run smoothly. Parent & Child Salon Etiquette Duchess Hair & Beauty Studio aims to provide a calm, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all clients. • A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child to the appointment and remain reachable throughout the service. • Parents are responsible for ensuring their child’s comfort, behaviour, and safety during the appointment. • If a service cannot be completed safely, comfortably, or cooperatively, it may be paused or discontinued at the stylist’s discretion. • Please be mindful of noise levels and other clients to help maintain a relaxing salon atmosphere.
Cancellation Policy
All appointments at Duchess Hair & Beauty Studio require a non-refundable booking fee to secure your appointment. • The booking fee will be deducted from your final service total on the day of your appointment • Appointments must be booked at least 48 hours in advance unless otherwise specified within the service description. • Clients may cancel or reschedule their appointment up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time • Late cancellations, no-shows, or missed appointments will result in forfeiture of the booking fee and may affect future bookings • Only one reschedule is permitted per booking fee Late Arrivals Please arrive on time for your appointment. Arrivals over 15 minutes late may result in a shortened service, rescheduling, or cancellation at the stylist’s discretion. Booking fees remain non-refundable. Lash Services Due to the precision and timing required for lash appointments, arrivals over 10 minutes late may result in a shortened service or rescheduling. Booking fees remain non-refundable.
